System Center Essentials 2007 Script Failures

20Jul07

I started my first SCE install, today, and once I started deploying, I got "Script or Executable Failed to run" alerts for almost every computer. A Google search on event number 21405 returned a post by Microsoft’s Dustin Jones on the TechNet SCE forums.

There are three known issues with scripts failing and alerts being generated for the resultant failure.

If you are seeing this error message in an alert, you’ll need a QFE that will be available shortly (KB 936339
